In rap the only thing that matters are the vocals/lyrics, the beat is usually some crappy computer beat that in theory every retard can make.

In Metal however the instruments are at least just as important as the vocal/lyrics

But ye I kinda agree that most scream (grunt) bands are just overreacting, but that´s just personal taste and wouldn´t the world be boring if we all liked the same music?
