SFL 2012: Rules

Post by ShocK »

SFL 2012 Rules
5 v 5 Soldier of Fortune 1 CTF Tournament

Image Name & Registry Rule
- It is preferred if players use the name with which they were signed up by their clanleader.
- Players must be registered on the player list with their UAC ID Number. Unregistered players in a league match may result in a default match and penalties maybe incurred.
- Once a player is registered to a clan, he may only play for that team during the period of that season; unless the clan leaves the season.
- Individual players leaving clans may play for a clan struggling for active players following a poll.

Image Time rules
- Match day: Sunday 8pm UK, 9pm CET
- If a clan (in full or partially) does not show up 10 minutes after starting time, a default will be given to the opponent. Unless both clans agree on a rematch.
- Standard pause time: 5 minutes for each clan (may change if both clans agree).
- Standard wait time: 10 minutes (may change if both clans agree).
- For any issues during matches, the staff is available on msn
- Rematches: A clan with a full team on Sunday has preference when choosing a rematch date; any date within reason is usable. All SFL 2012 rules apply.

Image Server settings
- Phosphorus grenades disabled
- Infinate Ammo off
- Realistic damage on
- Bullet only
- Claymores disabled
- Flag drop disabled
- Teamchat only

Image Anti Cheat
All league match players must use UAC.
- Team with a player/s not using UAC - Default loss for both matches.

UAC screenshots and the Black Screenshot Fix
1: Players must produce a clear UAC screenshot
- Penalty: *Default loss
OR
2: Players have the option to not use the blackscreenshot fix but MUST record themselves instead and produce the correct working dm2 files within 24 hours of matches finishing.
- Penalty: *Default loss
OR
3: Both teams agree BEFORE the match to NOT record (UAC ON - Greyscreens ok)

*Default loss -
- Team breaking the rule that won the match: Default loss
- Team breaking the rule that lost the match: Default loss or the score as it was in the match - whichever is higher.

Image Match admins
- As a match admin you ensure the integrity of a league match.
- You will take screenshots of the end score + statistics (Preferably not in legoland settings and with readable scores)
- The game may not be paused while F.I.P. (Flag In Progress)
- In the event of a match admin not being available then a member of Staff acceptable to both teams may step in as admin.

Image Flaming
- Flaming during matches is not allowed.

Image Recorded Video
- No video recordings will be used solely as proof of cheating.

Image Penalties
ViolationPenalty
Flag pass-3 FFD
HackingPermanent Ban
Trickjumping-2 FFD
FFD: Final Flag Deduction
The total amount of FFD's will be deducted from the final flagcount.

Image Trickjumps
- Definition: Getting into/onto an area which is not meant to be accessible. ie; ontop or outside of the map.
- Jumps involving a 2nd player and/or the use of items are disallowed.

Image Defaults
Defaults
- 3 points + 4 flagcaps

Image Tied 1st Place
- When position 1 and 2 have the same amount of points, teams will play a final match.

Image Clanleader polls
- A majority of more than one needs to vote for the same choice to let a poll count.
- Polls concerning the outcome of a previous poll are not allowed without a valid reason (ie: Bug in AC discovered)

Image Voids
- Void matches are to be replayed at a time convenient to both teams. (SFL Rules apply)
- Not to be confused with disputed matches (common sense rulings)
- A disputed match may become a void match.

Rules will be updated and/or amended when the need occurs.
Download link to league settings dedicated.cfg and sofplus-cvars.cfg will be posted later.

The Common Sense Approach

Post by ShocK »

The "If clans agree " settlement made clear:

Scenario 1:

Team A v Team B

Score: 4 - 0

Team A

Player 1 Grey Screenshot, no demo
Player 2 uac screenshots
Player 3 uac screenshots
Player 4 uac screenshots
Player 5 uac screenshots

Team B

Player 1 uac screenshots
Player 2 uac screenshots
Player 3 uac screenshots
Player 4 uac screenshots
Player 5 uac black screenshots - dm2 File Produced - GOOD OK

OUTCOME 1
- Both clanleaders accept the match was played fair and square - score stands, no penalties.

OUTCOME 2
- Team B disputes the outcome of the match (no rules broken, they have this option, Team A does NOT) - Default to Team B, SFL Penalty Rules apply to Team A

*To make this perfectly clear, the team with a clean (on the day) match record is calling the shots here. The clan with rule breakers in the team has no say whatsoever!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Scenario 2:

Team A v Team B

Score: 4 - 0

Team A

Player 1 Grey Screenshot, no demo
Player 2 uac screenshots
Player 3 uac screenshots
Player 4 uac screenshots
Player 5 uac screenshots

Team B

Player 1 uac screenshots
Player 2 Grey Screenshot, no demo
Player 3 Grey Screenshot, no demo
Player 4 uac screenshots
Player 5 uac black screenshots- dm2 File Produced - GOOD OK

OUTCOME 1
- Both clanleaders accept the match was played fair and square - score stands, no penalties.

OUTCOME 2
- Either one or both Teams disputes the outcome of the match - SFL Penalty Rules apply to Both Teams

Timelimit for clans to reach an agreement on disputed matches:

By the end of the 5th day after the disputed match/es has been played.
