I really want to play this game again. I also saw that multiplayer is played here so I was planning on to play multiplayer with you guys. More information is needed. I have had no issues installing 1.03, applying both the Gold and Platinum Patches then adding SoFPLus, (this is on Win 10 Pro 64bit) ...

Hayo, better late than never eh! thanks to Acadie, (took him just hours for the initial release)

We've already had some 2v2s and more ;)

Thanks Sauron, I was about to ask you for "proper" SS.
Once the links work "all the time" I'll delete some or all of mine ;)

This map was originally designed by Hayo and given to me in 2015 to complete, I couldn't due to some errors. Just a few weeks ago I asked Acadie to have alook at it, add the Blue Base and what have you, from there, the map grew to the current RC1. Currently being hosted on Euro Bastards. CTF, Contro...

Here is the "latest" Soldier of Fortune tweak guide that was posted on 3DSpotlight back in Oct 2001. First Guide was released around May 2000. I think this belongs here with the rest of SoF history. Unzip and "Double-click" the ".htm". (relative folder needs to be prese...

Like the map, different with dark and lit places. I disagree with the "(CTF is NOT recommended)" part; With few players or not, could be a fun CTF game! At the least, something "different"! So far have found 2 secrets ;) Too bad is a few years late (you, nottmoto and ChAoS), may ...

cd_nocd Is either for playing music through cd-rom drive or don't prompt for SoF1-CD, crack-ish thing? Which shouldn't be needed with SoFplus. We needed the SoF CD in the optical drive to be able to play in the early days or we would have gotten the "nocd" error. Many games required the C...

Might be a good thing SoF1 is dead or we would have had similar tragedies perhaps!

@sofsab, we've had very little or no issues at all installing SoF on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10! Two suggestions: 1- If you can, "upgrade" to Win10 or downgrade to Win7. 2- Accept d3nd3's "teamviewr" help Either you are taking wrong steps or your Winblows installation is in need of...

Heat and power fluctuation corrupt data as they are travelling on the circuit board or being written/  read. Drop usually "kills" the HDD, RAM modules might have come slightly out even other modules. Booting with a Live CD will let you know if the hard drive and/ or its data are okay ...

So true @Sauron When I did system build and repairs, I got a lot of consoles, tablets and cell phones as well. Most iPhones (minus the physical damages) had to do with battery and/ or the port due to using cheap basis and cables. Got to be very careful with car USB port/ s, Inverters, new AC Recepta...

Acadie, if it is a "Desktop", much easier to fully disassemble, clean and re-assemble. All slots and sockets should be cleaned as well as the contacts on the add-in cards and memory modules. (I have used erasers to clean my RAM modules) After 9 years I'd be more worried about the Power Sup...

I missed the "drop" part. Depending on how hard and at what angle it fell, I would check all the parts that can move. Memory modules should be taken out and re-inserted. Use a live CD (UBUNTU or HIRENs) to check the hardware as well as the HDD and Optical drive. CPU Fan. Sauron's idea is b...

There is a difference between multithreaded and single thread performance. Multithread are apps that can use all the cores/ threads. In this case, i5 > i3 and i7 > i5. Many games are single threaded. Most games use only 2-3 threads. Single thread performance of an i3 could be better than i5/ i7. Mor...

Well, any map could be loaded from the console, short of playing the whole SP! Just type "map ger4" in console If you happen to issue the command when connected to a server, you get disconnected and the level loads, crashes have been reported this way also. All Ger levels I like Acadie's s...
