Not for the forum list subscribe thingy, when you click that then from then on until you unclick it you get an email of a new topic whether you're logged in or not.
Unrelated but on the same subject is the user mention mod, if you enable it and someone types @smokestaH in a post then you get a pm and an email to say you've been mentioned.
