FPS/Autoexec - Check

Post by Sauron »

Iam not responable for your Software/Hardware/SoF FPS.

Since so many fps threads where popping up I made this check list to check what it could be before asking questions.

//Performance

//Power options / Engerie options.

Control Panel -> Power options -> High performance

//CPU parking.

Set it to 100% and click Apply

//GPU Disable ULPS / Force constant gpu-clock & mem clock, instead of depending on load.

AMD: (Needs updating)
NOT SURE HOW THIS WILL EFFECT THE NEW Radeon-Crimsion driver.

//Mouse: Disable Mouse Acceleration

The speed at wich you move the mouse will not matter, only the distance will. (by Markc)

The what now?
This autoexec is made to max out FPS & minimise FPS dorp.

1. No fps drop & "gl_dynamic 1" (aka flag-light. combined with gl_dlight etc.), Don't play any media that has framerate.(videos/gif's etc)

2. Fires around the map will make you lag so there for "gl_effectfill 0" that makes them invisible, but also causes that you can't see the enemy shooting.

//Pro's

More stable FPS.
Flag-light.
See the bullets/explosions/blood on the wall.

//Con's

Can't see enemy barrel fire.

More Pro's/Con's tell me.
//SoF settings.

Rename to autoexec.cfg put it in base, don't put it in user and exec wfyto.cfg!! start SoF and hope for the best. (whatfuckyouthoughtoff)
May the higher FPS be in your favor. :assassin:
