Quark doesn't start in W7

As the title says, I cant get my Quark to work.

I browsed the forums here and downloaded some SoF SDK, SoF map files and not to forget Quark. I put all these brothers in a map on my D drive. Right click Quark.exe, open as admin --> QuArK.exe has stopped working :fp:

Back in the day I used to open QuArK with no issues on my 2.8Ghz AMD XP pc!

Is it normal for Quark to not work properly on newer systems or am I just fucking up cus lowskilled?

I've got quark 6.6.x beta installed right now. Also I'm on windows 7. Already seen a tutorial video you made which was really helpful! Now if I just get this thing to work I might actually be able to build something :)

Change compatibility much like we used to do for WaX on W7 before it went Kaput!

Change it to Windows XP and run as an administrator.

(First post here, so I'll quickly introduce myself: I'm one of the developers of QuArK! )

Picard, I've recently started work on getting QuArK as stable as possible, especially on newer Windows versions. Can you try this nightly build of QuArK?
Link: http://quark.sourceforge.net/downloads/ ... ec2015.exe

If that still doesn't work, we can dive deeper and figure out what the problem is and how to resolve it.

in case someone wants to use older version.
minipy15b.rar
Download and install Mini-Python prior to installing QuArK 5.10 or QuArK 6.3.0!
Newer versions of QuArK include their own Python: no need to install Mini-Python or the Python SDK.

@Sauron: Why are you posting that? QuArK 6.4 and higher don't need that; they use an integrated Python. In fact, since mini-Python installs in the Windows System folder (and probably contains horrible security bugs), I would recommend against installing it at all! If you are getting any strange Python errors with the latest QuArK versions (6.6 beta), please let me know, because that would be a bug that I will gladly fix!
