I don't think it would be hard to arrange a small euro cup tbh but please don't do any boring season/league format.
Even if you only got 6 teams, just make it a double elimination knockout tournament with a best of 3 map or best of 5 map format.

Could be made like EFZ Cup.
Two group of 3 teams. (three map against each team, each team pick a map, one map designed by cup staff, opponents always pick side.)
Best of two goes to semi-finales. #1 Group A plays against #2Group B // #1Group B against #2 Group A (three map against, same rules)
Had fun reading this topic! Every now and then (once a year) I check this forum just to see how the community is doing. The nostalgia is insane!
I started playing around 2002 when <FI>, [.com] and Seals were kicking ass and MD server was the place to be. Well actually I started before that but I focused on DM (Jolt 5). Players like Azazel, Predator, D3VIANCE were kicking ass back then. Later on there were some new talents like Hazzez, Ryu and Ape. The transition to CTF was pretty easy. None of the fuckers could frag. Within a few months I kicked ass and joined BAD. Hydra was cool as fuck and Smoke ooh well.. Smoke was Smoke. Thats when all the fun started... I might tell some fun stories about who hacked and who didnt when I have time. Lets just say that the Americans compensated their high ping with some PHT (performance enhancing tools) lol. Many of the players I used to play with hacked but it just wasnt for me. I played worse with hacks so fuck it I played it fair eventhough people never trusted me. It became even worse when I introduced the rconhack. I used to hold matches in other peoples server lol. I just didnt give a fuck. Again.. the Americans knew waaaaay more than Europeans.
Anyway here is a list of the best players I encountered (regardless if they hacked).
Hydra: kicked ass but was never sure when he was hacking
Smoke: Had good and bad games but overal a real good player
Ape: 100% not a hacker and best pure fragger I have ever encountered. Als je dit leest stuur me een bericht =)
BomJR: Good overall player but had issues and was a crybaby. I guess some things never change. Still love you though
Matheo: Best hacker to ever play the game. I mean yeah he hacked but so did many others and they werent as good as him. The Lance Armstrong of his era.
Hippy: Good but overrated. Nice guy though had a lot of fun with him on teamspeak
Matsu: This guy kicked ass. Had great battles against him and Shinjy
Zoomy: Was an unstoppable force in E*CK
Geus: Unbelievable player
I forgot a lot of players but its been more than 10 years ago since I last actively played.
BTW.. UK team used to kick the dutch teams ass but mainly due to ego problems. The Dutch team never selected the best players. It was a mess!

(And same stories about you tbh, atleast back then you were anoying as fuck aswell, and a very very bad looser. guess we both were in middle of our teenages back then )

I remember playing a sweaty sick sick 2vs2 against you and ApE with Sotico - timelimit end sumwere over 70 minutes and scores were like 10-8 / 10-9 me and ApE had 500+ scores due all the fragging and we played sud1.
