Happy birthday.
Think I saw somewhere you became 25? Guess you finished your study in Civil Engineering 2 years ago? Thought you were still @ uni.

That is something you should communicate with the pathologist service of the Belgium NICC. I think a lot forensic providers are interested in this thesis (if it in fact shows to work). Normally they use the degree of racemisation of dental acids which gives an age interval of +/- 15 years which is not so accurate.TTSome1 wrote:yep 24, graduating in a few months normally =) if i can finish my thesis succesfully: Age estimation based on the morphology of teeth with a Statistical pixel classification algorithm using Expecation Maximization ;)

i got shit data so im not counting on too good a result tbh :p stupid guys giving me data from the 1990's instead of something with decent resolution. It is indeed for the forensic research group (most papers i used come from that field)

Ah yeah, to bad about the data, did the algorithm work it couldn't it add anything new for future projects with better data?TTSome1 wrote:i got shit data so im not counting on too good a result tbh :p stupid guys giving me data from the 1990's instead of something with decent resolution. Did you directly work with one of the forensic providers btw? Always good to have more international contacts :P
