Re: Hey lag-o-meter...
You're correct Emirate that people have the right to play however they want (settings wise)
Still I don't really don't get it. So many people complain about maps that are chosen/played or have favourite maps.
How could you complain so much if all the maps look the same? No colours, no details, ...
I think it's between the ears that this improves your skill a lot but guess it's just preference...

Re: Hey lag-o-meter...
It's not the colours and/or textures that make a map good and fun to play imo. It's the layout and placement and amount of spwns, weapons, armor and ammo. Or in the past; whether a map had slide or not.
For example: (default) sud. It's a pretty good map layout-wise, only barely anyone likes it because of the camp on the one shotty in base. Bronx: one ugly ass map, still I enjoy playing it because of the tactics you need to play it properly.
My personal favourites are the maps that require the players to use every aspect of the game (fragging, capping, tactics, timing). Hasn't really got much to do with how it looks like with high graphics/textured.

Talking about autoexecs, I found a few autoexecs from SoF Community Edition 3.0. (november 2011)
The autoexecs are from:
[TT]Dutch
Fluxy
Julien
Matsu
Proxima - (contains a lag-killer command lol)
Thom&Zoomy

I used medium more than anything else. Lego style felt weird and with high gfx my bullets never seemed to connect.
Medium all the way. Or white walls and black skins.
