I checked and I can say it's a interaction between the sound loop coming from multiple fire and the gun fire.

And as for fps lag, it is caused by multiple dynamic lightning projected on walls caused by a light entity and compiled with flickering. Unfortunately, you can only disable it with gl_dynamic

Try this for now till I return. Acadie could also edit.
I moved the Large Health outside ... one base you could not "use" health from one side, I moved the health away from the wall more.

If you want the health to be only accessible from back side, (only left of flag as the other side you can walk through) let me know.

True.

I do not experience any of it.

Here is another with all the lights removed to test only at least two light sources have to be placed back ... this is just to try

it still flickering on wall. that is permanent when you compile with sofarghrad.exe (light projection compiler)

I removed all that was possible since there was no time to pinpoint exact spots.

Was hoping with no sounds and less lights, it might make it better.

I have an idea without using QuArK but have to wait till I come back Monday.

For Germany, I added a HMG in the tunnel (just one for both teams) glad you like the changes.

I believe exp/jpnctf1 already has Snipers in the big rooms. (jpntclx has shotties there)

One change I like on "jpnctf1 Bastard's Corner Edition" is the removal of the spawn in the door way. I think I am the only one not liking that spawn point!

I tried egypt2003 and could not reproduce the lag or FPS drop! I even tried removing all sounds, fire and whatever I could edit without recompiling the map ... tried different settings and still no lag or FPS drop! constant 142.

Going to try and place some crates or other entities to see if it helps but need someone to show a screenshot of the lag or fps drop spots if possible.

Came back a week later than I was supposed to but did changes to the "lower parts" ... going to pm it to you before I leave again tomorrow, this way I need only to check pm for replies and feedback..

We just got half decent "wireless Internet" setup on Saturday ... 6Mb/ 1Mb from some 20Km away (driving, so straight line could be 10/ 15k!) spend a lot of time at the cottage but now I can check messages and get online ... finally ;)
