Record in-game 14t17 & below

Post by CheaterSkeeter »

**here is the updated version, the version you posted is out dated and contains no download link**
***Recent version of sofplus client required such as 1.4t9 avialable to download
here http://sof1.megalag.org/sofplus/sofplus-14t9-client.zip" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ***

IMPORTANT
- GIve demos folder in /user/demos read and write permissions.(Right click folder, uncheck the box that says "read only" apply and save)

Change log
- User simply types 'rec 1' or 'rec 0' in console.
- How to play demo file tutorial
- The script automatically stops the demo, or reconnects and starts the demo for you if record is set to 0 or 1
- The script now automatically stops the demo at the end of a game

Problem:
Sof1 crashing soon after you type 'demo filename' due to an unknown error

Solution:
A simple SoFplus script that starts recording a demo as soon as you enter a server, which seems to prevent crashing :)

Download
http://cheaterskeeter.megalag.org/scrip ... onnect.zip

Usage:
- Download and extract record_on_connect.zip.
- Read the readme.txt file

How to play demo files
.dm2 files can ONLY be played by SoF and not a media player so follow these steps below
Demos can be found in your \user\demos folder. Rename the file to something easy to remember e.g SkeeTeR:
Image

type demomap <filename> in console: (case sensitive)

because, it did save at the time i stopped it (after the 2nd map), but it seems i can only view the first map and there is no file for the 2nd map

Never responded here but thanks alot for this fix + auto record. I started using this a few days ago. The only problem I noticed was that I could not play the filenames in sof by typing demomap filenames. I rename them for my personal use so no probs.

Windows 7 - Demos not saving?
If windows 7 users are having issues with demo's not saving, and the read/write access fix isn't working, then please look here for the solution: (Playing Sof1 as a standard user)
http://www.sof1.megalag.org/windows7.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
