Only sound through headset

Some days ago when I booted my pc up and I found myself having NO SOUND anymore, teh fuck is going on here I thought.

I've connected some speakers on a random 5.1 amp and plugged it in my pc, always worked great no problems just pure magic.

But suddenly it stopped working, I just can't hear anything. In the audio configuration I can see tha meter going up and down like it's sending me sound, but I can't hear it.

When I put my amp to radio I hear sound, so my speakers and amp are probably just fine. Also when I plug in my senheisser headphone (using the same green plug on my mobo) I can hear the sound again.

Solving this issue will not only gain you tons of respect, I also am willing to give you 7 euro to spend in world of tanks, a free mmo. I can also make avatars or signatures in paint if thats more your style.

Any help would be awesome, and thanks in advanced.

Whats your Operating System?

- Choose: 'afspeelapparaten'.

- Choose the right output devide. Trial and error if you don't know.
- Right click and choose ''Als standaardapparaat instellen"

I'm using windows 7 and I've got the device set up as standard as it's the only device showing up.

Here you can see it's playing something which I'm unable to hear

on the left windows (from your post):
- Right mouse click (not on 'Luidsprekers', but just beneath it in the white window)
- Turn on 'uitgeschakelde apparaten weergeven'.

Omg I had the same problem a few days ago on my laptop. Didnt worked for days but suddenly it worked yesterday. No idea how or when I fixed it, but I do know my laptop downloads and installs updates from microsoft automatically.

Or try booting your computer up with everything unplugged, then close it all down, then boot your pc up again and after this 2nd boot you plug everything in.

Maebe thats your answer ?

I would try that Realtek ctrl panel in taskbar Tray and check if all settings are the way they are supposed to and or what did you update / install anything right before this happened - any Restore points made you can roll back too ?

Ow got a question for u2 lol any chance you made a backup from SFL forum Support section cause i would hate to dissapoint newcomers with similar issues that were resolved there .

Nope, Evilan deleted everything with Keifer his account so everything that hasn't been saved by minato or someone else is now lost.

All my settings are fine afaik, I really didnt change anything to my pc either. I just didnt use it for 2 weeks turned it on and no sound =(

Lol i saved a few posts from SFL but my HD failed a few days ago , N1 Evilan .

If your headset is plugged in directly into your soundcard try to plug in your speakers and see what happens , check the wires just in case something ate through them when u was away ..

Yup both as my speakers and my headset are connected through the same green jacket thing.

My headset has instant sound, np nothing wrong.

My speakers don't give any sound at all. But when I put on the radio I've got sound again. Maybe for dark mysterious reason the cable from my "amp?" to the pc died? Only thing I can think of tbh but fucking weird if thats the case

Don't you have a Brown Black or Grey Speaker connector you can try ?

Its probably the cable from the amp to my pc because I tried it with my MP3 player and didnt gave me any sound. I now got a FREE 5.1 surround set from a friend lol.. not the best but it was very nice

Should help me through the week, new cable comes this weekend (also for free)
