To all East-European & North-European players
Hey guys
I'm planning on getting 4 extra SFL servers next week (to be used for 5vs5/2vs2/1vs1 and public servers) located in 4 different countries to try and fit it with the player preferences.
Apparently viti network has more choice since I left and the following datacenter choices are available:
Belgium
UK
France
Netherlands
Germany
Italy
Lithuania
Portugal
Spain
Chicago (US)
I was wondering if any of you guys played in a Lithuanian server before? Lithuania is basicly next to Poland, across Sweden and underneath Finland.
Junior, Proxima, Butcha, Meffy, all VM players, Shark, South, IRA, Halun, Neo, Cold, etc are near there.
Want to know how your connection/lags/ping will be. If nobody knows, i'll ask Vicky from vitinetwork to get a test server running.
Regards
MinatO

I wonder how connections are in spanish, portugese and italian servers aswell.
Most likely won't use any of those, but i'm gonna ask for testservers of those aswell.

I know for a fact that the VTI 'UK' servers are actually in France, but don't know about the other countries. VTI rents the UK/French servers from OVH. All OVH servers are located in Roubaix, France, but can pretend to be located in:
- Belgium
- Czech Republic
- Germany
- Spain
- Finland
- France
- Ireland
- Italy
- Lithuania
- Netherlands
- Poland
- Portugal
- England

I wonder what they will reply when I ask why it says the server is located in UK, if its in fact in France. That's basically scamming people and letting them believe they're paying for a product they're not getting = against the law.3klnk4jh wrote:I know for a fact that the VTI 'UK' servers are actually in France, but don't know about the other countries. Makes me wonder about the "Lithuanian" and "Polish" server, guess that's in 1 datacenter aswell?

That's what i've been wondering for a long time but the last server i ordered before the KK Vicky told me that the UK servers had something wrong with it... i'm not 100% of the details but yeah its annoying getting a french server.MinatO wrote:I wonder what they will reply when I ask why it says the server is located in UK, if its in fact in France. Bought the servers yesterday.
It's a scam lol.
Their servers in Lithuania and Italy are basicly french servers. Viti's host, simply reroutes the ips lol.

viti is trash. I dont know which company has those german located servers but the Public Server 1 SFL one is bad.
Just pay ctrl to host a few servers.

Ctrl's servers are from a dedicated in France, from kimsufi.smokestaH wrote:viti is trash. I dont know which company has those german located servers but the Public Server 1 SFL one is bad.

Viti's gameservers are also from a dedicated/kimsufi.
Viti however, most likely puts too much servers on 1 dedicated serves or ctrl's servers are just better set up (OS, cpu/memorary usage and such).

Well, I'd really love to test the Polish one from viti. It's closer to other players than from Lithuania

Test KK server, thats hosted by him. And I havent heard anyone complain about it.
Im probably going to try that polish one tomorrow. If its infact in Poland, I will ask Vicky to switch it with the lithuanian one (French).morph1 wrote:Well, I'd really love to test the Polish one from viti. It's closer to other players than from Lithuania

Re: To all East-European & North-European players
well, i think i can setup my own dedicated server in a couple months
depending on if we are gonna get fiberglass in this place
if im able to get that, im able to dedicate an older pc to hosting some servers down in my basement
maybe even more in the future
