Organising new mixed games
Hello everyone,
I have said this before, but I want to start with Mixed Games again. I have a server set up for this, but I will need some more admins (people can PM me to signup for admin, I will pick the people out of the applications myself). Also, instead of just doing the mixed games with 2 captains picking the teams, I want to do something more, to make it a little more interesting. Some sort of ranking or something (which would mean that everyone would need to use their own name), but I am not really sure on how to do so.
These are the things that would be needed to get some new mixed games started:
- Admins
- An idea to make it more interesting (ranking, ladder, etc.)
- The best days and times to organise these mixed games
Decent input from everyone will be nice. Thanks!

Re: Organising new mixed games
Great idea. Ill give a beginning on how you could do the drafting etc so we've got something to work with.
First week: 2 random captains who pick 1 player each until there are no players left
Winning team players get x points each per won map
Losing team players get nothing, good day sir.
Well have to see if we keep the same captains for other maps as well. So do we have captains on weekly base or per match base, probably a weekly base until one leaves and then its whatever?
Week 2: 2 highest ranking players pick 1 player each untill there are no players left, STARTING BY PICKING THE WORST PLAYERS FIRST. So players with the least amount of points have to get picked first. Or you pick captains randomly from the lowest scoring player pool that would work as well.
This is very basic and maybe stupid but now we can build from something

Re: Organising new mixed games
SoF does not need another league on private passworded servers where people play small games and dissapear again from SoF.Bred wrote:Reactivate thought it better 2 vs 2 tournament
We need public activity. Those servers have become empty. The mixed games is the only right format to achieve that.
Also where are your arguments for your statement that the 2 vs 2 tournament would be better ? How many of the 2v2 players are playing SoF now ? The 2v2 has been a proven failure, and here you are, Bred, suggesting 2vs2 tournament. Seriously this is so fucking stupid. Such a stupid suggestion, like lmao, who do you work for ?
Minato should had used his energy into a mixed games instead of a 2vs2 tournament, surely our community would look more alive then it is now
Also as I stated before within SFL-Staff, we need to re-ban Dende until he delivered his promise: A working anti-cheat against his aimbot. That was the only reason I got him unbanned from SFL to begin with, like lmao he is useless as always except for the cheaters. Ban him + forum-ban him immediately. His ban is a good way to start 2016. Only GaLLo had been a bigger problem for us then this guy. @ShocK @Emirate @Jr <--- peasants

Me too. Just for nostalgia reasons. But then I want drake and julien to be there too so they end up kicking eachother all night long.

I partially watched the progress of your games yesterday, but I didn't manage to join in time, lol. I thought 'mixed games' would be something else, a different formula, but it still doesn't depart much from an oldschool toe-to-toe clanlike clashes. I'll try to get in next time.
