Post by Kris »

Hello,

I'm a huge fan of this game and played It a lot back In the time, but the problem Is I can't get It to work on Windows 10. Is there any way to fix this? Error I get when I try to start the game Is:

I tried changing the compatibility mode, running the game as administrator, creating a new shortcut and naming It ''mohaa''... What else can I do and Is It possible to fix this? Thanks In advance for all the answers and have a nice day!

Yea, I downloaded the game from this forums. I also tried different versions of the game, platinum edition etc... Didn't help, It's all the same and nothing worked.

You have an error code showing (0xc0000005). Search online to see if there's any solution related to this error code.

More information is needed.

I have had no issues installing 1.03, applying both the Gold and Platinum Patches then adding SoFPLus, (this is on Win 10 Pro 64bit) I do have the Gold and PLat versions but I just like doing that way ;)

Is your Windows up-to-date?
Are all drivers up-to-date?
Any security/ firewall software?

I would UN-install and clean left overs then start fresh with new installation having turned OFF Anti Virus, Firewall and what have you.

You might want to move your "user" folder to your C:\users\username\anyfolderhere and editing your shortcut with the new info.

Access violation could mean MANY things with MANY solutions
Memory, storage, Rights, Drivers, paths ....

I did just everything you have written, nothing helped. I don't know what to do, but I don't want to get new Windows again... :(

Now I got the game to open, then there's a black screen and then It just closes down Itself. I still didn't do the thing you mentioned up there, I don't know how and what do you mean.

Navigate to user directory and look for sof.log, Open it and check what it says at the bottom.
Paste what it says here.
