1vs1 CTF Ladder Rules

Season details:

Start of season: 18 January 2013, 00.00
End of season: 10 March 2013, 24.00
Playoffs – Quarterfinals: 13 March 2013
Playoffs – Semi-finals: 20 March 2013
Playoffs – Finals: 27 March 2013

Anyone can join the ladder at anytime so signups aren’t necessary.
Play-offs will be on Wednesdays. If a player can’t show, a rematch date must be arranged during the same week.

IMPORTANT: EACH DUEL IS A BEST OF 3.You must win 2 out of 3 maps to ensure a victory!
Before you start, agree to the 3 maps with your opponent and type “The following maps have been chosen: irqctf1, jpntclx, gicctf1” followed by a screenshot of the text, which you post in the match results."

Anti-cheat details:

Each match has to be played with UAC + Clean Screens or UAC + dm2 demo of yourself.

UAC Match ID: 1vs1league

Unique game-settings each duel:

In a best of 3 series, both players can each choose 1 map with unique settings, chosen by themselves. If no specific settings are desired, the standard tournament settings consist of infinite ammo, 10 cap limit and 0 timelimit.
These settings will also be used in the third map of a best of 3.

Settings to choose from:
Infinite ammo/limited ammo => Console: set_dmflags 12/unset_dmflags 12
Flaglimit (minimum 0, maximum 30) => Console: ctf_loops 0
Timelimit (minimum 0, maximum 30) => Console: set timelimit 30
Falling damage on/off => Console:

Phosphorus grenades disabled
Realistic damage on
Bullet only
Claymores disabled
Flag drop disabled
Teamchat only

Maprule: Each map can be played maximum 2x vs the same opponent

Players can admin their own matches, but the servers must have the latest sofplus + cvars enabled, and added in this list:

At the end of each match, one of the players must take a screenshot of the results + stats, posted in the match results subforum on sof1.org.

Violations:
-Players who tampered with serversettings during a match: Season Ban
-Players who cheated during the season: Permanent Ban
-Players who didn’t use UAC or have clean screens/demos: Opponent can decide to accept the result or take default. If the same player had this issue 3x = Season Ban

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)

Q: Who decides which maps will be played?
A: Both players must agree to 3 maps before they start. When both of you have decided which maps you will play, one must must type “The following maps have been chosen: irqctf1, jpntclx, gicctf1” and a screenshot must be taken as proof.

Q: If I win the first 2 maps, do we have play the third map?
A: No, since this is a best of 3 series, the victor could already be decided with a 2-0 victory. The same counts for best of 5 in the play-offs, a match can be decided with a 3-0 victory.

Q: What happens if my opponent didn’t have clean screens or forgot to record a demo?
A: If the player with no screens/demos is the winner, the loser can decide take default.

Q: If somebody played 10-20 games more than me, can I still end up on number 1?
A: Basically, the lowest ranked player, can earn the most points by defeating the highest ranked player. If you challenge high ranked players, you get more points and can raise more rating while playing lesss game so yes you can still end up on number 1. As long as you end up in the top8 at the end of the season, you will always have a shot at the prizemoney.

Q: I was banned in SFL a year ago, am I banned from the 1vs1 tournament?
A: 1vs1 ladder starts with a fresh banlist, so previously caught cheaters have a clean sleet.

Q: The opponent, who is also the admin, agreed with me to play 20 flagcaps instead of 10, suddenly changed the caplimit during game, what now?
A: If the accusations can be proven by a serverlog, default for the opponent.

These rules can be adapted in time, so don’t forget to check these once in a while.

because if for example, im in last place and emirate is in first place and we decide to play eachother

If "Emirate" can prove it wasn't his fault, or the malfunction was out of his hands, not. If it's however 100% intended, the loser, you in that case, could take a default yes.
